Here are some Web 2.0 - Read, Write Web - tools that I thought to share.  I will add to this page as I "discover" more.

  • Bubbleshare (www.bubbleshare.com) - This is a very easy-to-use photo sharing site that you can use to embed pictures into your blog or web site.
  • VoiceThread (www.voicethread.com) - This is a great site for creating slide shows and digital stories.  Add you pictures, write and record text, and throw in some graphics, and you will have a really neat little show.  Then, embed it in your blog or email it to a friend or relative.

  • Ustream (http://www.ustream.tv)-  On Ustream, you can stream your own videos, either live or previously recorded.

  • Blogs— I use Blogger (www.blogger.com). For those in education, Edublogs (www.edublogs.com) is an outstanding free source.
  • RSS (Really Simple Syndication) - Keeps me up to date with all the blogs I like to read.  Bloglines (www.bloglines.com) is a good RSS source
  •  iGoogle (www.google.com/ig) / Netvibes www.netvibes.com)—Your computers dashboard

  • Del.icio.us  (http://del.icio.us/) — Being able to see my "Bookmarks" from any computer and share Bookmarkers with those who share my interests is so helpful

  •  Google Docs (http://docs.google.com)—Place on the web for documents I want others to view and for documents I want others to be able to edit.
  • TeacherTube (www.teachertube.com)—Uploading of  presentations we create for our own purposes can be shared amoungst other teachers.

  •  PhotoBucket (http://photobucket.com) —Instead of posting a large number of individual photos to our blogs, we can now produce a slideshow in a very small space.
  • Animoto (www.animato.com)—This ridiculously easy tool takes a collection of pictures and turns them into a flashy presentation.
  • Podcasting—This tool basically lets you create your own radio program which can be uploaded to a blog or website. On a Mac, Garageband does a great job creating podcasts while Audacity is a free program which provides a great beginning for anyone interested in podcasting on any platform.

  • Twitter (www.twitter.com) - Microblogging at it's best.  Great to create personal learning networks with others to share and learn with.
